Day 2: Beirut - Byblos – Batroun – Tripoli

Day 3: Tripoli – Qadisha Valley - Douma

  • Breakfast at guesthouse.
  • Moderate level hike from Hadchit to Qannoubine Monastery and back to the old Mar Licha Monastery. (7 km distance, ascent 250 m, descent 450m). Discover hidden waterfalls, relics, caves and settlements of past hermits as well as the Qannoubine Monastery jewel of the Qadisha valley. (picnic lunch included)
The Qadisha Valley is one of the most important early Christian monastic settlements in the world, dating back to the 5th century AD. Listed among the Unesco world heritage sites it is characterized by a dramatic rugged landscape, rocky cliffs and caves carved into the hillside.  
  • Scenic road from Mar Licha Monastery passing by the Tannourine Cedars reserve, to reach the village of Douma.
  • Check in at guesthouse. Douma walking tour or resting.
  • Visit the oldest olive trees in Bchealeh then sunset and bonfire with dinner in bechealeh overlooking the village of Douma.

Day 5: Mtein – Hammana – Soaoufar - Ain Dara - Ain Zhalta

Day 6: Ain Zhalta – Baalbek – Riyaq - Zahleh

  • Guided visit of  Baalbek mercury temple, Heliopolis site, the Roman Querry and Sayida Khawla Mosque. Then walk in the Baalbek souks for street food lunch and sweets.
  Baalbek with its majestic structures, is one of the finest examples of Imperial Roman Architecture at its apogee. Well known as Heliopolis since the Hellenistic Period or the city of the sun for its complex where a triad of deities was worshiped.  
  • Coffee break and visit of Palmyra legendary hotel.

Day 7: Zahleh - Maaloula - Damascus

  • Drive to the region of Al Cham in Syria.
  • Visit the village of Maaloula, the Saint Serge and Baachus convent and Saint Takla Monatery.
  Maaloula is a village built into the rugged mountainside, at an altitude of more than 1500 m. It is known as one of three remaining villages where Western Aramaic ; said to be the language of Jesus.  
  • Lunch at local family home in Maaloula
  • Afternoon Visit of old town Damascus with dinner at local delicious restaurant.

Day 8: Damascus – Palmyra - Damascus

  Palmyra is an ancient city in the eastern part of modern Syria, Archaeological finds date back to the Neolithic period, and documents first mention the city in the early second millennium BC. Palmyra changed hands on a number of occasions between different empires before becoming a subject of the Roman Empire in the first century AD.  
  • Return to Damascus for dinner at local restaurant.

Day 9: Damascus – Busra - Umm Qais

  • Breakfast at guesthouse.
  • Visit the Great Roman amphitheater of Busra in Syria.
  • Cross the borders from Syria to Jordan to reach the village of Umm Qais
  • Home-made lunch at local family home
  • Visit the Roman ruins of Gadara.
  • Sunset easy level cycling trip around Gadara.
You will discover the hills of Umm Qais that are found along the way while you cycle through the village, the farmlands, the Golan Heights, and the Jordan Valley. A local guide will lead you on a route that is steeped with history and beautiful landscapes, both ancient and modern. The intermediate routes contain a combination of flat farmlands and light climbs. The length of the route takes half-day (2 hours) to complete. Choice of routes varies depending on weather conditions and seasons, any specific requirements can be discussed with the cycling guides in advance.

Day 10: Umm Qais – Wadi Rum

  • Early sunrise departure from Umm Qais
  • 6hrs drive sraight to Wadi Rum.
  • Afternoon rest at campsite, then sunset 4x4 drive around the Mars like landscape of Wadi Rum and landmarks visits.
  • Desert dinner prepared by locals with bonfire and star gazing night

Day 11: Aqaba – Petra

  • Breakfast at the Camp
  • Drive to Aqaba for a 4h Boat day with snorkeling with Seafood lunch.

  • Petra by Night Experience  if available on chosen dates (from 8:30 pm till 10:30 pm)
  A visit of Petra Night Show.  This event is a magical way to see part of the rock city by candlelight and explore the old city, which has become a world wonder, incomparable experience starts by walking the entire Siq to the Treasury, lit with over 1,500 candles to bring the major attraction due to the spectacular view it has.

Day 12: Petra - Feynan

  • Hike on the National Jordan Trail from Little Petra to Petra, a magnificent moderate level trail of 12.6 km length.

  • Free day to rest and choose from the local activities scheduled and provided at the ecolodge.

Take this rare opportunity to witness the end of the day in the Bedouin camps below; with children wandering home from play, women tending the evening fires and men rounding up their herds in a peaceful dance as the sun falls to the haunting sounds of the call to prayer. Feel the gentle breeze ushering in nightfall as stars dot the sky and guides brew fresh mint tea over the warm fire.

Day 14: Feynan – Wadi Mujib – Dead Sea

  • Breakfast at Feynan.
  • Guided Canyoning and hiking on the Siq Trail in Wadi Mujib. (Between April and October) on other months we choose other alternative Canyons to hike. (Snacks provided)
  It is a 2-3 Hour activity, where you will take follow the opposite course of the river between towering cliffs to the base of a large waterfall. Depending on seasonsal rainfall levels the gorge may contain pools deep enough for swimming.

Day 15: Feynan – Dead Sea

Day 16: Dead Sea – Airport

  • Drive to Amman for free time until transfer time to airport for flight departure.

Local Community:

70% out of the trip cost is directly generating income to the local communities working in the tourism sector, from accommodations to services, activities and small businesses.

Community Service:

By participating in this trip, each traveler contributes $50 from the trip cost, which serves as a donation to support the INGO Right to Play Lebanon that has been serving at-risk children and youth in the country since 2006. They support mostly displaced Palestinians and Syrians from vulnerable communities based in Lebanon.

Cancellation policy:

  • COVID measures the trip will be postponed to a later date or you can choose to cash back all the amount paid.

  • IF you cancel your reservation, 31 DAYS and above your scheduled arrival date, The full amount you paid will be refunded, minus the bank charges.
 
  • IF cancellation occurs between 30 to 15 Days before your scheduled arrival dates,  Half of the amount you paid will be refunded. (Subject to case by case)
